Counselling is a safe, confidential space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences with a trained professional. It can help you to gain insight, understanding, and acceptance of yourself, while facilitating the development of new perspectives, behaviours, and ways of engaging with the world.
2. What is Humanistic integrative counselling?
Humanistic integrative counselling is a client-centred approach that values your unique experience. It combines different therapeutic methods tailored to your individual needs, with a strong focus on building a trusting, genuine and empathetic therapeutic relationship. This approach emphasises empathy, respect, collaboration, and your autonomy as an individual.
3. How long does each session last?
Typically, each session lasts around 50 minutes, but this can vary depending on your needs and the arrangement we agree on.
4. How many sessions will I need?
The number of sessions varies for each person, depending on your goals and the issues you want to work on. Some people find short-term counselling helpful, while others benefit from longer-term work.
5. Is what I say confidential?
Yes, confidentiality is a cornerstone of counselling. What you share is private and will not be disclosed without your consent, except in rare situations where there is a risk of harm to yourself or others, or if required by law.
6. How do I book a session?

7. Do you offer online counselling?
Yes, I offer counselling sessions online via secure video platforms, which allows you to access support from the comfort of your own home.
8. What if I need to cancel or reschedule a session?
Please let me know at least one week in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule. This helps me manage my schedule and offer the time to others who may be waiting.
9. How much do sessions cost?
My fees are £65-£75/session. If cost is a concern, please let me know as I may be able to offer a reduced rate or referral to other services.
10. Do you work with specific issues or client groups?
While I work with a wide range of life experiences and issues, I have a particular professional interest in anxiety, relationship difficulties, and challenges with self-worth and self-esteem. I welcome clients of all backgrounds and identities.
